Review of the Nitetronic Nitelink2 App
The Nitelink2 app is a free iPhone app that was built for one Nitetronic pillow, the goodnite. That pillow no longer appears among the best sellers on Nitetronic’s own site, and the current pillows use a newer app.
If you own a goodnite, Nitelink2 still does its job. If you’re shopping today, you’ll want the current Nitetronic app that comes with the pillows Nitetronic sells now.
- What it is: a companion app that records snoring and head position for a Nitetronic smart pillow.
- Cost: free on the App Store, but it only works with a Nitetronic pillow.
- Catch: the Nitelink2 listing names a single pillow model, GN02-6000, and its last update was April 2022.
- Today’s choice: the newer Nitetronic app, which has a 1.0 star average from 8 App Store ratings as of October 2026.
What the Nitelink2 App Does
Nitelink2 connects to a Nitetronic smart pillow over Bluetooth. It logs how long you snored, how loud it got, and where your head sat on the pillow.
The pillow listens for snoring and inflates air chambers to turn your head. Nitetronic describes that as moving the head to the side to open the airway, and a randomized crossover study of 22 snorers found that a pillow built to change head position lowered the measured snoring index (p = 0.03).
The App Store lists Nitelink2 as an iPhone-only app from Shanghai BackRobo Wellness. It needs iOS 13 or later, weighs about 43 MB, and says it fits the model GN02-6000.
We checked the Nitelink2 listing in October 2026.
The old version of this review listed the iPhone 4s through 6s and a long run of Android phones from about 2016. Those lists are gone because they no longer help you, so check your own phone against the store page before you buy.
The App Has a Newer Sibling
Nitetronic’s current pillows pair with an app simply called Nitetronic. The App Store listing shows version 1.5.17 from AIWORKS Global, free, with iOS 13 or later required.

Nitetronic’s own app page says the app records sleep time, quality, snoring time, and intensity. It also lets you change detection sensitivity and how hard the air chambers inflate.
Owners aren’t thrilled. The listing’s 8 ratings average 1.0 out of 5, and reviewers describe the app forgetting the pillow, dropping its Wi-Fi link, and recording snores when nobody was in the room.
Those are a handful of user reviews, not a lab test. Still, they match what the older Nitelink2 review warned about, that a pillow can inflate when a fan or heater makes noise.
Features Worth Knowing
- Sensitivity control. A higher setting catches quiet snoring but also catches fans and heaters. Plan on a few nights of trial and error.
- Sleep report. Nitetronic’s Z6 page lists snoring intensity levels from Quiet and Light to Medium, Loud, and Epic.
- Intervention settings. You pick how firmly the pillow turns your head. Nitetronic suggests tuning this over the first 5 to 7 nights.
- Remote viewing. The Z6 page says a family member can view your snoring data remotely, which helps if a partner wants proof.
The original version of this review described a baseline mode on Nitelink2, where the pillow tracks snoring without inflating. Ask Nitetronic support whether your current app still has an equivalent before you count on it.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Free to download, with no subscription listed on either App Store page.
- Logs snoring and head position, so you can see whether the pillow is working.
- Adjustable sensitivity and intervention strength.
- Useful for comparing nights while you try other fixes.
Cons
- It needs a Nitetronic pillow, and Nitelink2 names only the GN02-6000 model.
- Nitelink2 hasn’t been updated since April 2022.
- The current Nitetronic app averages 1.0 stars, with complaints about connection drops and location permission.
- Phone snore trackers struggle with background noise, as the next section explains.
Does the Technology Hold Up?
Pillows that change your head position have some real data behind them. A 2021 pilot study of 30 patients found that a smart antisnore pillow improved snore index and apnea-hypopnea index in people with mild-to-moderate sleep apnea, but not in people with severe apnea.
A 2024 systematic review of positional therapy for snoring found that anti-snoring pillows and similar devices can reduce snoring. It also noted discomfort in some sleeping positions and called for head-to-head comparisons.
Snore tracking is shakier. A German test of sleep apps found that they count snores well in a soundproof room but struggle to tell snoring from traffic, talking, and rustling sheets.
Treat the charts as a trend line and not a diagnosis. If you gasp or stop breathing at night, book a sleep study.
Pillow Prices and Where to Buy
Prices on Nitetronic’s site as of October 2026: the Z6 Smart Anti-Snore Pillow runs about $549 (regular $699), the Z1 about $499, and the A1 AI pillow from about $449. The homepage lists a 30-night trial, free US shipping, and a 3-year warranty.

Apps That Work Without a Pillow
You don’t need a pillow to record your snoring. Our reviews of SnoreLab and SnoreClock cover two stand-alone apps.
They suit anyone who wants a snoring baseline before spending money on hardware.
The Verdict
Nitelink2 is a fine tracker if you already own a goodnite. It isn’t the app to build a purchase around in 2026.
If you want a smart pillow, look at the current Nitetronic models and their newer app, and use the trial period to see whether the data and the quiet nights are real for you.
